Simon Moss

Dr. Simon Moss is the Manager of Psychological Assessment of CSC. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in psychology, and a Doctor of Philosophy (Psychology) from Monash University in 1996.

Simon is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Psychological Medicine at Monash University. A Registered Psychologist, his primary research interest concerns how workplace characteristics, such as leadership, influence the psychological processes of individuals, such as creative skills.

To investigate these issues, Simon has published a broad range of articles in the fields of leadership, attention, learning, marketing, strategy, quality management, work-family balance, and personality. He substantiates this work with a significant academic database of every scientific discovery that contradicts prevailing management beliefs and practices. CSC recently commissioned Simon to publish his research. “The Science of Management: Fighting Fads and Fallacies with Evidence-Based Research” has been positively reviewed by The Age.

Simon has also developed the Ethogram, the first psychometric instrument designed to uncover all the traits that participants attempt to conceal.

Prior to joining CSC, Simon worked as Psychological Consultant in other organisations, such as The Empower Group, especially in the fields of workplace assessment and operational planning.
